What to expect at Rose Quartz

Before Your Visit

Come as you are — there's no need to prepare anything special. You'll fill out an intake form online before your visit, which helps our conversation in person go deeper instead of starting from scratch. Wear whatever's comfortable; you'll have privacy to change, and you're always in control of how much or how little clothing stays on during your session. If you can, arrive about 10 minutes early for your first appointment so your intake doesn't feel rushed.

During Your Session

You're always in control here. Some sessions are purely about rest: an hour to just relax, no deep work required. Others are more therapeutic, working through tension or areas your body's been holding onto. Either is a completely valid way to spend your time with me, and we'll talk about which one fits before we start.

If a specialty tool like cupping, scraping, or heated stones might help, I'll explain what it is and why I think it could be useful—and it's always your call whether to try it, never something I do without your go-ahead. That consent isn't just a one-time checkbox at intake, either—if something changes mid-session, or I think a different tool might help partway through, I'll check in with you again before switching gears. And you never have to wait for me to ask! If pressure is too much, a cup feels too aggressive, a stone is too hot, or anything just doesn't feel right, speak up any time and I'll happily adjust. You may also notice I work slow and broad, even in more therapeutic sessions. That's intentional pacing, not hesitation.

Additionally, I don't want you evaluating your wallet while you're on my table, so most techniques and tools are included in your session at no extra charge. I charge for my time, not the technique.

Your Intake

Your intake doesn't stop at the form. When you arrive, we'll go over what you shared together, and I'll ask any follow-up questions that come to mind—because that groundwork shapes everything that happens on the table. From there, we'll talk through informed consent and map out what today's session should look like, so you know what to expect before we ever begin.

After Your Session

Drink plenty of water, and give yourself a little time before jumping back into a busy day if you can. If you're planning to work out the same day, it's better to get that done before your massage rather than after. A full rest day afterward is a good idea too, especially if you're someone who lifts heavy or pushes hard in the gym. Some soreness afterward is normal, especially after deeper work—that usually settles within a day or so. If soreness persists longer than a day or two, that means we pushed too hard in our last session and we need to back off a bit next time.
