My Approach
Massage is more than a physical practice. It's a journey toward whole-body wellness. I approach each session with the understanding that everything in the body is interconnected, focusing on the relationship between the nervous system, musculoskeletal system, fascia, and the rest of the body to create a space where healing can unfold naturally.
That approach is rooted in a philosophy I've carried for years: a mechanical solution to a mechanical problem usually beats a chemical one. Over time, that's grown into something broader: the least invasive solution is usually the best one.
That focus on the nervous system comes from my own path. I struggled with my mental health for a long time without getting real answers, and in massage school, learning how deeply the nervous system connects to every other system in the body is what made things click. I realized massage could help people carrying chronic anxiety, depression, ADHD (which I experience myself), and more.
That understanding shapes how I work on the table, too. I move slowly and broadly rather than fast and pointed, even in sessions that get into deeper, more therapeutic work—because a nervous system has to feel safe before it can let tension go. That pace is intentional, not hesitation.
In the last few years, I've been on my own health journey: chronic pain and flare-ups that sent me to doctors, testing, and through a slow process of figuring out what my body was telling me. That journey is part of why I sought out Manual Lymphatic Drainage certification: it's a lighter pressure modality that works with the lymphatic system, which is deeply tied to immune function. I'm also exploring barefoot massage modalities, so I have another way to work when my hands need a break.
I believe that healing is most effective when it honors the connection between body and mind. Whether you're navigating chronic pain, seeking support as a neurodivergent individual, or simply looking to feel more comfortable in your own skin, my goal is to meet you where you are and help your body do what it already knows how to do.
Massage with me is not just about relaxation—it's about empowerment. It's about helping you understand and connect with your body, so you can feel more grounded, balanced, and whole.
“The fascial system is one of the most important structures of our body and is significantly tightened from physical or emotional trauma which produces crushing pressure on pain sensitive structures.”
-John F. Barnes, PT
“The secret something that is shared by all effective healing methods is the process of leading the patient to an honest and truthful self-discovery.
This self-discovery is required for the initiation and continuation of self-healing; for it is only through self-healing—in contrast to curing—that patients can experience both permanent recovery and spiritual growth…the closer our perception of self approaches, the deeper our capacity for self healing becomes.
When there is a very close correspondence between self image and truth, our healing powers may be virtually unlimited.”
-Dr. John E. Upledger
Custom Massage Butter
I care about the massage emollient I use—not just because I have to handle it all day, but also because it touches my clients. I wanted a massage cream that felt good for my clients and performed well for me. I looked at a bunch of different professionally available massage creams and was disappointed time after time.
Eventually, I came to the natural conclusion of creating my own. I have formulated a massage butter that I love using and that my clients love having on their skin. I know every ingredient that goes into the formulation as well as it’s purpose in the recipe, and I make my massage butter in small batches.
This massage butter is not available publicly, and I don’t sell it. The only way to experience the custom body butter I make is through receiving a massage from me.
